Below a list of questions that we have been asked by potential clients, clients and auditors:
Q: What is expected and what is not required?
A: Each critical element in the Standard must be met, nothing else.
Q: What is the frequency of re-audits after initial certification?
A: The certificates are valid for one year (12 months) so audits must be conducted annually to keep the certification current.
Q: How much time is given to fix non-conformances?
A: As much time as you need. The certification is not granted until the non-conformances are fixed.
Q: How much do the certification audits cost?
A: Each auditor has their own day rate so it pays to get a few quotes.
Q: Do all approved auditors charge the same fees?
A: No. They all vary slightly. They average $1000NZ or AUS per day plus an annual registration fee.
Q: Are there any extra fees that I will have to pay after the audit?
A: No. All you pay for is the audit which includes a registration fee.
Q: How long will the audit take?
A: Most audits will take one day or less.
Q: How much will it cost to use the certification logos?
A: Nothing. This is given as part of the certification.
Q: How do I know which auditor to use?
A: All approved auditors are user friendly and competent but obviously some auditors will suit your company better than others. Find someone that you get on well with and that fits the culture of your business. If you have any problems getting the right auditor contact us directly.
Q: Can I use the certification logos on my products?
A: Yes. You can use the logos anywhere you wish and there are no extra costs involved unlike with other certification programs.
Q: How does Eco Warranty compare with ISO 14001?
A: It covers the same requirements as ISO 14001 but it is designed to be more user friendly and easier to understand for the clients. There are also many other benefits using Eco Warranty, i.e. you can use the certification logos on your products, Eco Warranty is a more cost effective certification solution.

A: It is a HACCP based food safety standard that can be used by all companies in the food chain, i.e. farmers, packing sheds, transport companies, agents, food processors, food packaging, wholesalers, retailers, etc... |
